Sorry to say this, but I don't find this track nearly as polished as most of your previous dnb.

This might just be me, but this seems to really lean on loopmasters demo packs - not that there's something wrong with that, but the ways they're used here don't scream much (if any) sound design or processing methods to speak of. Speaking about loops, I don't find the drums at the beginning to fit well with the drone and more so could benefit a couple db quieter to make the drops more intense (not saying that's a must, but in this situation I'd personally do it). The vocal chops being in the intro I find to be a little strange, might've benefitted from slightly less reverb.

The buildups are alright, but the risers are a little loud and same goes for the snares. The first drop sounds pretty nice (even with loopmasters bias and occasionally weird mid stereo), but the transition after is a little abrupt. The worst parts about the track for me, easily, are the second halves of both drops. I find them to have been clipped way too hard, muddying up the vocal chops and making the kick sound more abrasive than necessary. The FM synth doesn't help favours either, it just sounds cheesy to me compared to the previous bit. The outro's fine, if also a little abrupt - would've personally preferred a lowpass followed with reverb.

Cool shit, but I find the highs a little bit piercing for the atmosphere and 1:27 had a somewhat abrupt transition. Still bangs.

I'm... confused about this track. The arrangement here leaves a lot more to be desired, seeming more like a 3 minute loop than a full track including the lackluster ending - it could've been shortened down to under a minute. The bass frequencies seem to be as loud as the sub and the high mids to highs are especially lacking, asides from the hats which give a big boost over 15k... pretty extreme.

The worst thing I find about this track is that everything asides from the sub just seems.. weak, the drums have no impact when they're clicky, short, devoid of audible processing and seem to be excluding sidechain entirely. The bass also sounds underwhelming and.. basic when it's supposed to be neuro. I'll say again that the repetition here doesn't put these into favour.

Hairmilked responds:

I agree. The arrangement is far weaker than my other tracks. I was happy to make something intense and design it myself but I might need more practice. The hats sounded loud so I cut them down several times but I'm sad it wasn't enough. Thank you for your honesty ❤️

Usually I *hate* jungle tracks, but I actually kinda like this one. Only issue I have is that I find the second drop a little empty in places. Solid stuff!

Always liked noisy shit. Only problem here's 1:40 and onwards - found it a little repetitive with a bit of silence following. Otherwise, this bangs.

One of my favourite tunes on this site, I do NOT know how I didn't notice this at first - thank littlbox!

Whattttttt this actually bangs
Only problem I rly have with it is that the second drop sounds a little samey but otherwise I love it!!

I absolutely VIBE with this, reminds me a little of Black Sun Empire but I haven't really heard too many of their tracks. A minor nitpick is that I wish that the outro wasn't as sudden as it is, might've just took 2:55-3:17 again and placed some reverb right at the end. Otherwise, really solid tune.

Qshunt responds:

Thanks very much for the kind words!

Awwe fuck it I'm giving this track a high rating again, still loving the sounds here but thought it sounded a little samey throughout - even with the drum variations. That story is also interesting, didn't know you had multiple experiences with people using stolen shit tho. ̶b̶t̶w̶ ̶w̶a̶n̶n̶a̶ ̶c̶o̶l̶l̶a̶b̶?̶?̶?̶1̶1̶1̶o̶n̶e̶

Jokes aside, solid work.

Honestly, there's always people uploading ambiguous content to the audio portal. Sometimes it's for geometry dash. Other times users will assume identities and try fitting in. Always burns a little bit when you get close to individuals that assume an identity using content they didn't have permission sharing. I kind of keep Newgrounds users at arms length because of that.

I like witnessing artists grow. When someone starts posting content on Newgrounds and it's amazing from day one I can't help but wonder if the content belongs to them. I fucking hate that suspicious feeling, sorry.

Sorry to vent triple, I'm just a little exhausted. Nap time...

I don't think I've said this for a single track before but I actually adore the usage of the amen break here. The other samples too like holy shit, this track succeeds at EVERYTHING it's trying to accomplish. I love it!!
